Open Letter to the Mother of a Mujahid…

An Open Letter to the Mother of a Mujahid…

All praises due to Allah and peace and blessings be upon prophet Muhammad. This is an open letter to Christianne Boudreau, mother of the Canadian mujahid brother Damian Clairmont, written by one of his close associates. We ask Allah The Exalted to guide her to Islam…

Peace be upon those who follow the guidance!

Dear mother of a Mujahid,

Perhaps you are wondering what has caused a complete stranger to reach-out to you by writing an open letter…In fact, I am writing this letter to give you the glad tiding for the martyrdom of your beloved son Damian Clairmont. You may be wondering what has caused Damian to take the path he had chosen for himself. Maybe you are asking yourself what could you have done as a mother to prevent such “catastrophe” from happening within your family. You may be wondering what is causing young Canadians like Damian Clairmont and others to become “radicalized” into “Islamic extremism” and end up dead in some unknown land in a different part of the world. Well, I will try my best in this letter to shine some light on all those points and give you the narrative from our side…

Respected mother, I would like to begin by inviting you to the beautiful religion of Islam, the only true path of salvation and happiness in this life and the hereafter. Contrary to what the mainstream western media falsely propagates (and it does so in a very subtle manner), the core of the message of Islam is not about warfare or terrorism. Rather, the central message of Islam revolves around the noble concept of worship of Allah, the one true Lord of the heavens and the earth, alone without associating any partner to Him and follow the message revealed to all of the prophets, and in particular, the teachings of the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah says, “And We have not sent you (O Muhammad ) except as a mercy for the all of creation” (21:107). Indeed, Islam is a religion of peace and mercy for nothing can bring the true inner-peace of the soul without fulfilling the spiritual compartment of the heart through an abundant remembrance of Allah alone. Islam teaches us to invite others to our faith with wisdom and beautiful preaching and uphold justice in every situation. Allah says, “Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly. Allah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion – that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers.” (60: 8-9)

Dear mother, perhaps you are reading this letter on your smart-phone or on your laptop. Imagine if someone claimed that the phone that you are holding in your hands or the laptop that you are using have come into existence haphazardly over a period of billions and billions of years by parts and particles bumping randomly onto each other through unguided natural processes! I am sure no sane person will believe in this supposition. Well, then how can we believe that the very human brains that have designed those high-tech gadgets, the complex human bodies, and the heavens and the earth have all come into existence in such perfect designs through random natural processes without a creator or a designer behind them? Allah says, “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for the people of understanding. Those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; exalted are You; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (3: 190-191)

As Muslims, we only worship the Creator of the heavens and earth alone and we reject the worship of creations in any shape or form. We do not worship Jesus or any other prophets of Allah. And if only people were to use their sense a bit they would come to realize that a true righteous and devout man like Jesus will never call others to worship him instead of worshiping Allah alone. Allah says, “It is not conceivable for a human that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophet-hood and then he would say to the people, “Be worshipers of me instead of Allah ,” but [instead, he would say], “Be devout to the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied.” (3:78-79)

Dear mother, from scientists all the way to Playboy magazine models, women from all facets of Western society are accepting Islam on a daily basis. That is because they have realized how Islam honours women with modesty and self-respect while giving her the full freedom to worship Allah in an independent manner. In Islam, a woman is treated like a precious pearl that is to be protected and respected for her own rights. She is not enslaved by the society to become pressurized to reduce her self-worth to nothing more than a collection of “seductive body-parts” as women are treated and portrayed in the decadent Western societies unfortunately. Rather, a Muslim woman is respected in the society as a mother, a sister, a wife or a daughter. Contrary to the baseless claim that Islam restricts women from seeking education, some of the greatest scholars of Islam throughout the history have been women like Fatimah Al-Samarqandiyah and many others. They pursued the sacred path of knowledge without compromising in their sense of modesty and devotion to Allah for the true knowledge is a form of light that only takes people closer to Allah and guides them towards the eternal bliss of hereafter.

Dear mother, Islam teaches us to respect and honour our parents and treat them with utmost kindness. And I remember how brother Damian used to go visit the family every Sunday and try his best to maintain the ties of kinship even though he felt uncomfortable at times because of the non-Islamic environment present on those family gatherings but he remained patient nonetheless. Allah says, “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.” (17:23-24)

Dear mother, if it was not for the command of our Lord to stand-up for justice and to defend the oppressed, none of our brothers including Damian would have ever separated themselves from their beloved parents. But the command of the Lord takes precedence over everyone and everything else.

Allah says, “Say, if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and Jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.” (9:24)

Dear mother, let the whole world believe whatever they wish to believe, but you know very well deep in your heart just as much as I do how intelligent and talented brother Damian was as a person. Do you honestly think that he would fall for something fictitious and be willing to even sacrifice his life for it if indeed Islam wasn’t the truth? Therefore, I would urge you in a very humble manner to study Islam for yourself with an open heart and see whether it is the truth or not. The greatest mistake people in the West make is presuming Islam is just another man-made religion like Christianity. In reality, Islam is the only true religion of Allah that has the power to fulfill the true human needs in all the various aspects of human life including theology, spirituality, and politics. Therefore, I invite you to study the Qur’an by yourself and attend any of the mosques in the city of Calgary in this blessed month of Ramadhan where you can listen to the noble Qur’an being recited in a heart-touching melodious tone or hours every night in the Tarawih prayers (a special night prayer performed in congregation during the month of Ramadhan)…

Also, I would strongly suggest that you visit the 8th and 8th Musallah in downtown, Calgary in particular which was like a second home for Damian where he would spent most of his time reciting Qur’an or reading Islamic books. There is a sisters-only section for the ladies in the Musallah where you can meet Muslim women who would be more than willing to share the beautiful message of Islam with you. Although most people in the community may be reluctant to speak about Damian’s case with you due to the constant illegal harassment that Muslim community faces from CSIS agents, they would nevertheless be very happy to include you in their growing Muslim community. And despite continuous attempts by authorities to infiltrate mosques across Canada, the Muslim communities in Calgary and elsewhere continue to welcome new members to our faith with open arms as our religion teaches us to spread the message of truth everywhere.

Beloved mother, we are indeed saddened by seeing your pain and sorrow at the death of your beloved son Damian and the lack of support you received from both the Muslim community and the Canadian public in general. But just imagine for a second that Damian was born in a deformed and mutated state and died within few minutes of his birth instead of living a healthy life for 22 years… Unfortunately, this is the case with many of our sisters in Fallujah in Iraq where they are giving birth to deformed, mutated babies due to the radiation effects of the bombs that were dropped by the coalition forces who supposedly invaded their land under the disguise of “Operation Enduring Freedom”! (1) What is their fault other than that they proclaim the faith of Islam? What makes their blood any cheaper than the blood of Damian Clairmont or any other Canadian for that matter? We hope a loving, compassionate mother like yourself would feel the pain of the countless other mothers in our lands who are constantly suffering from the tyranny of the modern global crusade onslaught on our faith.

Dear mother, perhaps you have been told by the media that we were just de-franchised youths who lacked some sort of social identity. Or perhaps you were told that we are simply youth with “impressionable minds” who became “brainwashed” by some unknown radical preacher in Calgary. However, if one was only to look at the reality of what is happening in an objective manner, one would soon realize who are truly being brainwashed by the society and the media. As a matter of fact, the mainstream corporate media, which is an integral part of the corrupt global capitalist system, is not driven by any set of moral values or principles and is only interested in sound-bites and “selling points” that would maximize its profits.

Dear mother, did you ever ask yourself how can a noble man like Damian Clairmont who left his family, his homeland, and all the luxuries of the world available at his fingertips in order to support and defend innocent victims in Syria be demonized in the mainstream media as “barbaric extremist” and “cold-blooded murderer” whereas the returnees of the invading Canadian forces from Afghanistan, known for their direct complicity in torturing and sexually assaulting innocent Afghan detainees within the Canadian bases, (2) are welcomed back as “brave men and women in uniform” and celebrated on a “National Day of Honour”? (3)

Seriously, “National Day of Honour”?! Has the Canadian army lost all its manhood and self-dignity or is it that it has been so long since they have taken part in any real combat since the World War II that they even forgot the definition of victory and defeat? How can the return of a defeated army that has been forced into a humiliating retreat due to the strong resistance shown by our blessed brothers of Taliban in the Helmand province of Afghanistan be considered a “Day of Honour”? In reality, for people with any understanding of the present political and military situation, it was nothing but a “National Day of Humiliation” for the Canadian government. But again, that would probably be too hard to admit publicly to the Canadian population…for nations often behave just like human beings who are reluctant to acknowledge their mistakes openly even if they are as clear as the sun at high noon!

When Canada invaded Afghanistan as part of the NATO-coalition forces in early 2002, supposedly in an attempt to “combat terrorism” and promote “democratic values” among the Afghans by bombarding them with cluster-bombs, there were virtually no Taliban present in the country at that time. And now after losing hundreds of soldiers, wounding thousands of others, and wasting billions of dollars of tax-payers’ money, what has been the net achievement of the Canadian army in the last 12 years in terms of “combating terrorism”? Absolutely nothing! Twelve years later, Taliban is not only fighting back but getting emboldened day by day as the US and her allies are looking for any flimsy excuses to retreat one after another…

Dear mother, have you ever asked yourself that how come it is perfectly acceptable and legal for hundreds of Jewish Canadian citizens to leave Canada in order to join a foreign military entity called IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and “defend” an illegal apartheid state from the “aggressions” of “dangerous” little Palestinian children by mercilessly beating them to the point of unconsciousness (4)…and yet it is completely unacceptable and must be perceived as “threat to national security” when people like Damian and others leave Canada to take up arms in order to defend helpless Syrian mothers along with their innocent children against a notorious tyrant that relentlessly uses barrel bombs and chemical weapons to slaughter them? (5)

We ask the wise men and women of Canada to raise public awareness on such issues of blatant unfairness and expose the double-standard of their wretched Zionist prime minister who feels no shame in giving “unequivocal support” for the continuous crimes of Israel (6). For history has told us that justice and rights are only preserved when people actually fight for them and the well-known cases of injustices done to brother Maher Arar and others and have long shown that the Canadian government is no stranger to torture and extra-judicial renditions and government agencies are never to be trusted with their hypocritical claims of human rights and equality of citizens. (7)And the face-saving apology of the Harper government to brother Maher Arar and his family doesn’t really mean much when the same illegal policies of “comprehensive cooperation” between US and Canadian intelligences remain at place as clearly shown by the recent “Snowden revelations”. (8) As Malcolm X (may Allah have mercy on him) once said, “Anytime you beg another man to set you free, you will never be free. Freedom is something that you have to do for yourself”. Hence, we have decided to take it upon ourselves to fight back against this global system of oppression by replacing it with justice and rights given by Islam…

Dear mother, if only people were to reflect on the nature of the conflict with an unbiased mind, one would quickly realize who are the ones committing acts of aggressions and transgressions and who are truly fighting a defensive war. In fact, one only needs to look at the terrible condition of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, etc. and then look at the treatment received by the released American soldier who was taken as a prisoner by our Mujahideen brothers in Afghanistan and the Indian nurses recently released by our Mujahideen brothers in Iraq. (9) It should become crystal clear to anyone seeking the truth which camp truly believes in rights and human dignity and which camp hypocritically sheds crocodile tears over “human rights violations” while violating every concept of humanity in their actual practices. (10)

Dear mother, how can we sit back and relax at home when innocent men, women, and children are pleading for our help? Indeed, we are waging a global war against all the tyrants of the world that continue to boast about their sadistic oppression of innocent civilians by torturing them, sexually humiliating them, and killing them under the darkness of underground prison cells while we take pride in risking our lives to defend and to rescue those oppressed souls and treating our prisoners of war with mercy and respecting their human dignity. Allah says, “Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.” (85:10) And our leader assures us by saying: “Verily, the best place for your blood to be spilled is on the path to liberate the Muslim prisoners imprisoned behind the walls of the tyrants.” and we have pledged our allegiance to listen and obey as long as he continues to command us with goodness…

Hence, our brothers in Syria and Iraq are struggling their utmost best to liberate all the prisons in the region (including the very Sednaya prison in Syria where the beloved brother Maher Arar was brutally tortured for months) where innocent men, women, and children are awaiting for our arrival for their rescue and continuously praying for our victory. Allah says, “And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?” (4:75). We ask Allah to accept our humble efforts and to relieve all Muslim prisoners from the shackles of the disbelieving tyrants. By Allah, we will continue to terrify those tyrant regimes and fight their soldiers until the last drop of our blood remains in our bodies. And let the oppressors be warned that what they have seen so far of our “atrocities” is simply a “sneak preview” of the actual movie that is yet to begin!

Dear mother, we are fighting to free mankind from the worship of creations to the worship of the Lord of creations, from the narrowness of this wordily life to the vastness of the hereafter, and from the oppression of the man-made laws and religions to the justice of Islam. We are fighting a global battle to establish the Khilafah (Islamic Caliphate) that will bring justice on earth and you should indeed be rejoiced and feel proud by the fact that the blood of your noble son has been used to water the blessed newly-planted tree of this global Islamic Caliphate. The prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Verily Allah has shown me the east and the west of the earth and the authority of my community shall reach to whatever was shown to me of it.” (Sahih Muslim) Thus, it is only a matter of time that the whole earth will experience the beauty and justice of this Khilafah system by the will of Allah.

Dear mother, know that we are only fighting to please Allah alone and seeking rewards from Him in the afterlife. We are not fighting for this worldly life for we have left behind the opportunities of worldly pleasures available to us in the West by seeking the pleasures of the hereafter. We are fighting for the promised paradise beneath which rivers flow. We are fighting to meet our beautiful wives in Paradise. We are fighting to achieve the pleasure and the forgiveness from our Lord. Allah says, “Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and children, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. Say, “Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be paradisewith their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified wives, and approval from Allah . And Allah is watchful over [His] servants -Those who say, “Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire, The patient, the truthful, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allah ], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.”(3: 14-17)

Dear mother, this is exactly how we have become “brainwashed” into “Islamic radicalism”…by simply reading the Qur’an with an open heart and then watching the news of global events happening in front of our very eyes. Indeed, by the mercy and grace of Allah, our brains have been washed-off from all forms of paganism and the selfish love of this world. So this is our path that we have chosen for ourselves based on our own accord and understanding. We do not have any hidden agendas and we are honest and straight-forward with friends and foes. So whoever wants to be happy and appreciate our decisions, let him do so. And whoever wants to get angry, let him get angry and die in his rage for we do not fear the blame of the blamers…

In the end, I pray that Allah opens your heart to Islam so that you may live a life of honour and dignity and die as a Muslim and join your beloved son Damian in paradise (we ask Allah to accept his martyrdom). And I pray that Allah brings forth more soldiers of justice and nobility like brother Damian Clairmont to give victory to Islam and Muslims over the nation of disbelievers. Peace and blessings be upon prophet Muhammad.

Yours truly,

-Abu Dujana al-Muhajir

Some questions come to mind: 1. What does this announcement mean practically, and how will the ummah be affected? 2. Is it not the responsibility of the Khalifah to protect the Muslim’s strong hold, offer assylum to the weak Muslim.. Is it not the responsibility of the Khalifah to offer asylum to the weak Muslims and help them migrate? Will this announcement be used to justify the killing of everyone who does not give bay’ah? Is it only with the agreement of an unkown shura of a particular group of fighters that a khilafah is established? Is it with a single announcement that all other groups world-wide are deemed invalid unless under their banner? Which mujahid on this earth has ever had the audacity to steal the right of this ummah of a shura except them?

Muslim Abu Walid Shishani’s Statement (حفظه اللہ) on the Fitna in Syria
Muslim Abu Walid Shishani on the Fitna in Syria

July 4, 2014

Muslim Abu Walid Shishani has issued a new audio statement expressing his views on the fitna in Syria. I have translated some passages below.

After explaining that he has held back from commenting so far in case he affected the fitna, Muslim goes on to say:

I’ve been here two years already and have witnessed all these events from the start… At first when we came here there were very few Muhajireen [foreign fighters] and they were mostly in Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar Sham. Among the Ansars, like in other places where jihad started, we saw jahl [ignorance of divine guidance]. But it’s no exaggeration to say that most of them love Islam and want Islam on this land…

It was a second Chechnya, and we had experience adopted from Khattab and those brothers who were with him, and it wasn’t hard for us to repeat it. Alhamdulilah, Allah united us with learned brothers, who had spent 17-20 years in jail and wasted no time there in adding to their knowledge of the great scholars.

They organized here in Latakia a madrassa for students, with a three-month course. They recruited mainly those who had little knowledge and prepared them so that they could make du’a and pray. And they also opened a school for children. For one month they lived and ate in this school, and were trained in the first necessary knowledge. When we recruited 50 students in the first month, they hadn’t finished the course when more than 100 more were on the waiting list, brought by [their] parents.

We opened 17 mosques that had been closed and organized dawa, juma’a and namaz prayers. Slowly and surely, people began to fill these mosques. These brothers worked not only with the people, they also went to the group the Free Syrian Army and did dawa and we saw good results. Now these brothers work around Aleppo. You’ll know more about this in the near future as soon as our site is working.

It’s bad that we don’t have a permanent sponsor and we cannot expand this area..

I remember when I visited Umar Shishani, he went to the second floor filled with emotion and said, “Wallah, these takfirists have driven me [crazy] and I want to chuck them out.” That was a group of 150 guys, mostly Azerbaijanis. There were groups here that made takfir with Jabhat al-Nusra (JAN) and other groups. One of them, a Dagestani from a group you probably remember, Abu Banat he was called, a lot of sites have written that he fled, when people started to suspect he was a Russian special agent. Afterward, he was judged in the Sharia [court] and sentenced to death by his Naib or Qadi and another for killing civilians….

For example, where Abu Hanif’s group was (he’s also a Dagestani who is now in ISIS) they found two women and infants murdered among other corpses. They put checkpoints on the roads with masked [guards] and took cars from people, killed them, and resold [the cars]. One brother, an Uzbek, who bought a car from them, latter, after ISIS left, he was taken to the Sharia court and he was made to return it. Another young Ansar recognized the refrigerator truck belonging to his father, that they had previously sold for $30,000 and which they had had to leave someplace with other cars when they fled. He found the body of his father among other bodies, and said in tears that he had searched for him everywhere without knowing what had happened.

They said that this was a trophy they had taken from the infidels.

The more foreign fighters that came here, the more often things started to happen. But more groups also started to try to control their ranks from such people, and chucked out of their groups those people, but unfortunately they did not fully control the territory of jihad and those people started to gather in various parts of Syria.

In the main they did not fight against the infidels, and said that everyone here is an infidel. “With whom, against whom should we fight?!”

But despite that, the local people loved the Muhajireen all the same, and there was no small kudos given to the group Jaish al-Muhajireen wal Ansar, headed by Umar Shishani. It was one of the first groups of foreign fighters that operated in Syria, in Aleppo, and as Aleppo was the most affordable place, it gained a very large force for a short time.

Local people greatly trusted this group, if problems occurred, they immediately turned to Umar Shishani. At that time, I often visited Umar and saw he really tried to solve their problems. Most of these problems were related to the rudeness of the Muhajireen and because there were so many people, Umar could not control the whole group. But despite all this, change for the better was being seen every day, because after all there were more sincere brothers here, and they showed and taught people Islam as best they could…

And this did not go unnoticed among the infidels. They began to feel anxious and America blacklisted JAN. At that time, JAN was not as well known as Al Qaeda, although it was known among the Mujahideen. It operated here with very great authority and indeed, she had good local policies in relation to the people. In Aleppo local people even arranged rallies in support of JAN and some emirs from the Ansar came out and officially stated that JAN, this is one of the groups fighting against Assad like the others, and they won’t allow us to be divided. They said that they have different parties, and we have the same, there are different groups, but we are all solving the same problem, though we have different visions for solving the problem. But the infidels not miss a chance when something happened between the foreign fighters and the Ansars and once again out forward an enticing proposition. And when the infidels put conditions on the Ansars that they get rid of the Muhajir and promised in return to supply weapons and other necessities, those who were observing the situation, you probably remember well how the Ansars responded to this?

Many emirs of the Ansars gathered from different places and stated that they will not take up arms against their brethren, and if they get help because of doing so, the fact is that they would refuse this assistance…

No sooner did we enjoy this victory over fitna when another broke out, a more terrible and bloody fitna, which is still gaining momentum. That’s what I want to talk of in detail.

After all that, not much time had passed when Abu Bakr Baghdadi came out and announced to the world that he declared the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham. It was a very big surprise for all the Mujahideen. Not because we did not want and did not aspire to this, but because he did not take into consideration the situation in Syria and consider those who shed blood on this earth. After all, Muhammad Jolani, whom he considered as his deputy in Syria, even for him it was a surprise attack, and more than that, even Dr. Ayman Zawahiri, who at the time was his Emir, and he wrote in his letter that he was not in the loop.

Here, everyone understood that for this, we would still have to toil, and that it would only backfire, not only on the people but also among the groups of Ansars who did not know Abu Bakr. Especially since he is not an Ansar and especially since there were unpleasant rumrs flying aroud about the jihad in Iraq.

Here, people heard that there [i.e. in Iraq] Mujahideen were fighting with each other and that there were hundreds of dead Mujahideen in this fitna, and much more. Muhammad Jolani officially came out and refused to accept this and stated that he swore an oath to Al Qaida and awaited a decision from Dr Zawahiri. After this statement JAN was divided on two fronts. Initially not many supported Abu Bakr, but a decision on this issue from Dr. Zawahiri was delayed and in that time those who supported Abu Bakr managed to change a lot of things. Foreign fighters joined them, but still there were not so many, and they began to visit all the foreign fighter Jamaats. They visited me a few times, but I refused, saying that they first need to fix their problems themselves…

Back then, the largest foreign fighter group was Umar Shishani’s, and I heard that he himself hosted Abu Bakr for several days. I did not want him to get into this fitna, because we had a very close friendship and did not see any good in it.

In any case, until Dr. Zawahiri said something, I did not want him to hurry, since both Jolani and Abu Bakr were subordinate to him and he had to have the final word. But when I visited him it was too late, he said that he had sworn. It was for their PR, Umar had at the time about one thousand Muhajireen and it was a serious force. They consolidated their position. After all, it was mostly Caucasians who were with Umar, and they were known as good warriors and everyone tried to get more of them in their group.

We talked with him about many things, I explained as best I could to him that he should not go into this fitna, and that he should wait until everything was settled. And he was not sure of his choice and said, if the situation developed further for the worse, he would leave them. Everything depended on the decision of Dr. Zawahiri. But around him were people who influenced him greatly and I noticed these people didn’t miss a chance to strengthen him.

And when Dr Zawahiri’s address came out, where he told both to each remain in place and work as they worked before, and Abu Bakr refused to submit to him again, I went to see him [Umar]. But I saw that he finally became firm in his choice. Beside him was a professional psychologist who is known from Chechnya, where because of him there was no little fitna among the Mujahideen, and it was not without his participation that the jihad in Chechnya was weakened, but it’s a long topic and I will not dwell on this. He always appears in the right place at the right time and having done his business he walks away wiping his hands and enjoying the result of his work from a distance, taking a neutral stance.

What is most interesting is that everyone knows these people and everyone hates them, but somehow they are still allowed to get to the control levers of such an important matter? And there he played no small role. Umar said that he advised him to hold on to them. Sayfullah Shishani did not support Umar’s choice and constantly kept saying to me that after my visit, this psychologist spent hours with him and that Umar listened closely to hom. And then because of this reason, Sayfullah left the jamaat.

But all the same, it was small fry because there are 50,000 people fighting in Syria and they scored only around 2,000 and they started to take those who they’d previously rejected….

And when they’d gotten together enough forces, in order to show their strength they went onto JAN’s bases a few times and disarmed a few of them.

But one day, as God would have it, I saw it firsthand. This was at a time when we were preparing for the operation against Baruda and Durin in Latakia. You probably have seen these films on the Internet. Baruda was attacked by ISIS, a group of Muhajirs and Suqqur al-Iz, numbering 150 people, and we [attacked] Durin with a group of Ansars of the same number. Almost everything was ready and our brothers had already gotten close to these places for about 10 days, and waited for the others. At this time, when I was at on the base with the brothers, I had a visit from Abu Basir, with a few people. He was the Emir of one of the FSA groups. In Latakia, he was one of the most influential emirs of the Ansars. Previously, we sometimes went to them and we saw how he and his brothers were happy to see us. He told me that he wants to work with us and that he was ready to obey in all things. And explained that he received weapons from the Majlis Askari (the representative of the FSA in Turkey), and if they found out that he was with us, then they would stop supplying. He said that, if it were permitted by Shariah, he would not announce it, but if not, then he is ready to give it up. And he asked that we lend his group a learned brother to made du’a since in his group the brothers have a very weak Iman and smoked, but said that he would do everything to set them right.

At this conversation there were witnesses from my and his side. I gave him an answer immediately, and said that we were busy with an operation right now. He said that he had everything ready for another operation in Beit Ehlebia and Kherbay Solas, these are also hilltops and a continuation of those hilltops that we planned to attack and he asked us to support him as it would make it easier for us and the other operation, and moreover we had everything ready on these hilltops, before switching to Durin, for the whole month we were scouting these hills and when all was ready, the groups with which we had an agreement all went to Baruda and since we had problems with guns, we had to switch back here.

[MS describes a situation in which Mohaisany attempted to talk to ISIS in Latakia over some incident that required a Sharia court, and says that it did not matter what they said, because the authority for people were various websites]

The brain of the Caucasian (basically all) youth is the websites. A young man can come here today, we’ve already been here two years, we want to explain the position in Syria to him and he interrupts us and starts explaining who’s who here. You ask him, how do you know? “I read it on such and such a site”, and it’s pointless to interrupt him.

Sayfullah even told me that he was approached by young Caucasian brothers from ISIS who asked him to talk with Umar Shishani, because their emirs were forcing them to kill civilians.

[the fitna had a practical affect on military operations against the Assad regime]

We were at a loss, not knowing what to do. We were afraid to raise our weapons, especially if there was no fatwa from scholars, and it was also hard to just sit and look; and it was dangerous to go to the [Aleppo Central] Prison, leaving the area where ISIS was and going through territory where there were checkpoints of those who were fighting ISIS. And to reach the prison we had to go this way. Once we were shelled by an ISIS sniper post and the Ansars, seeing us foreign fighters, immediately raised the alarm and there was a danger that they might also shoot. So I decided to get out of there by any means. I decided to move closer to the prison and continue. But we had to transfer the Ribat to another, we kept a Ribat in Layramon (just recently there was an operation there), near the main Mukhabarat (it’s like the Russian KGB… I sent a man to the ISIS Emir to say that we were off, and so they should take over this place. In response, they said that they do not care even if the kafirs came.

[MS says he is most surprised by how:]

2-3 thousand people, and almost all Muhajireen [foreign fighters], out of more than 50 thousand Mujahideen, declare themselves a state and call anyone who does not obey them apostates. And they forgot that Sharia is higher than the state and that it is even higher than the caliphate.

[Compares the jihad in Syria to the jihad in Chechnya]

I can confidently say that here in Sham, wisdom is taking a rest. Only emotions talk here. You won’t see many coming out and talking who have life and military experience. Basically those who are waging jihad for the first time are speaking. In Chechnya there was also fitnah and discontentment. Often Maskhadov and Basayev and other Emirs argued with each other and there was a time things almost came to blows. But these people were worthy of debate and they were decent.

I remember when Shamil talked about Maskhadov and one Mujahed started to badmouth him. Shamil stopped him and said: Do not you dare talk about him so badly in front of me, he was not a man of your stature and moreover he was a Mujahid. But here grown men go and make general reviews and general gossip.

[Has a subtle comment on the Caliphate, saying that the most important thing is to wage jihad in Syria, because it is mentioned in the hadith]

We recognized this Jahiliya this Kufr this inequality, and want to get rid of it quickly and live in an Islamic state, even better in the Caliphate, where our eyes will see only what pleases Allah and where live and raise children under Sharia law, but this desire should not dazzle us.

Alhamdulillah, it is not in the Caucasus and in other places [about] that are not mentioned in the Hadith. This is Sham and there are quite a few hadith of the Prophet, we just need to listen to them…

Did [the hadith] say join the fight in Iraq? Or do you doubt that Abu Bakr Baghdadi’s fight is the fight of Iraq?…Do not be fooled. Even after Sham, there is nothing said about Iraq. And if you say that there is no single fight in Sham, then I say at the beginning of the war there wasn’t one in Afghanistan nor in Chechnya, nor in Iraq. This fight will be, as long as there are groups of people coming for it.

Khorasaan is Still Calling

Khorasaan Is Still Calling!!!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

بسم الله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

My dear beloved brothers and sisters on JHUF. First of all Ramadhan Kareem. What A blessing that Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has allowed us to witness this glorious month. A month of revelation, a month of mercy, a month when the Shaytaan ischained, a month of victory, a month in which your Lord eagerly anticipates your requests and Tawba. A month in which the angels and spirit decent in order to pray for you. As our Lord has said;

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيہَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّہِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٍ۬

“The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.” Surah Al-Qadr:4

It is essential that we all understand that witnessing the month of mercy is in itself, a huge mercy and blessing. Had Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) willed, he could have easily not permitted us to witness such a glorious month nor benefit from its fruits. I pray that Allah accepts from all my brothers and sisters throughout this month and brings our hearts closer to him through our ibada and Tawba.

My dear brothers and sisters, much of the hot topics on this forum seem to be focused around Sham and Iraq frequently. الحمد لله We are all Muslimeen and therefore the events in the most furthest of lands is of our concern so long as they share the same faith. What is regrettable however is that we seem to be forgetting the struggles of the Ummah in other parts of the globe – as if Sham and Iraq are the only lands of Jihad and the sole lands in which Muslims and Ahlu-Sunnah face a deplorable level of injustice and persecution. Even when we do focus on the sufferings in other parts of the globe from Central African Republic to Burma, ask yourselves do you give it the same airtime and heartfelt approach as you do with the topics relating to Sham/Iraq? Yes our Ummah in that region are suffering at the hands of the Rafidha and we cannot deny this fact nor shift ourselves away from our responsibilities towards them but what is wrong is the perpetual focus on one particular region. Topic after topic, discussion after discussion on one area. !ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله

My dear beloved brothers, for over 13 years more than 48 nations combined have been attacking Khorasaan. We all know that previously the country was ransacked by the Soviets. Prior to the invasion, the Islamic Emirate was boycotted and the endless sanctions had led to the death of hundreds of thousands of children alone. Only Allah knows how many more adults from the women, men and elderly had died as a consequence of the sanctions leading up to the invasion إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون. Yes brothers, there is indeed still a war headed by America against this one poor nation whose only source of help is Allah (عز وجل) as much of the Ummah have clearly forgotten them. I have said this before and I will repeat my statement; we appear to be an Ummah that follow the trend or wherever we see the ‘Nasr’ coming سبحان الله. Running towards the direction of where everyone else is running. Running towards where you perceive victories coming and the gains of Ghana’im (war booty), is not a sign of being on the truth. On the contrary, you should question yourself if this is indeed you. This is the Sifaat of Al Munafiqoon. They do not have patience nor wish to endure hardship but run towards the direction of the Mujahideen whenever they witness favour being on their side through Nasr or Ghanaa’im because for such misled people, this is a good sign. In reality such thinking is described as mard (illness) in the Qur’an and many of our past scholars have written vastly on this subject. I seek refuge in Allah from such traits.

A brother working with the Islamic Emirate of Khorasaan has stated how the price of ammunition is extremely high at present. Some brothers are going out to join the fields but returning because the Mujahideen do not have enough resources in some areas in order to finance fighters. I have also been informed that during the freezing cold winter weather in Khurasaan, brothers were sharing socks سبحان الله. Sometimes the Amir would only have one pair of socks and he’d ask 2-3 brothers in each group to share the socks having turns in wearing them until their feet had warmed and then eventually passing the socks on to their brother. I have also heard endless stories of sisters dying whilst giving birth, particularly wives of Mujahideen as they cannot often travel freely. In the vast majority of areas, the Mujahideen do not have access to a proper water system with taps where they can simply twist a tap and lovely fresh water would pour out. They gather water from lakes, rivers, waterfalls and wells – but what happens to these areas in the freezing cold winters? Of course much of this is frozen! The brothers then have to carry buckets of this heavy ice and warm it up so that it is liquidized and they can then use it for drinking, cooking washing etc. لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله.

A Pakistani brother I once spoke to, is aware of every single event that takes place in Sham and intends to join the Jihad there. When I asked him about the events that take place around the corner from his own country ya3ni in Khurasaan, he has very little idea. When I ask him about what takes place in his own country i.e Waziristan etc, again his knowledge is limited. My beloved brothers, the Sharia teaches us that the obligation of Jihad falls upon the people of the land and its direct neighbours. There is no point in a Pakistani brother travelling all the way to the Jihad in Sham while ignoring the calls of his sister who was calling from literally behind his own house in Waziristan or across the street in Afghanistan. If the brothers in Sham were the only part of the Ummah that were suffering and were in dire need of men I could understand, but this is not the case my dear brothers. Wallahi I will be a witness against all of those who abandoned the Jihad in their own lands in order to flee to Sham. For what reason my dear brothers? Do you not see the massacre and humiliation against your own people in Khurasaan and Pakistan? Why have so many brothers fled Waziristan and joined the Jihad in Sham? Do you not see what is happening in Waziristan? How can you flee abandoning one group of Muslimeen in order to help another? Where’s the logic in this my dear Ummah? How is it that I see endless Chechen Mujahideen in Sham when the Russians continue to slaughter and imprison muslims in Chechnya. Hundreds of Muslimaat are humiliated in Russian prisons and you simply ignore their voices in order to respond to the call in Sham? What message are you giving your sisters in Chechnya? That the blood of Syrians and the honour of Syrian sisters is more valuable than theirs? How can I see Muslims from Central Asia rushing to Sham abandoning their own people, when sisters cry day and night from the prison cells of Turkistan and Uzbekistan. Mothers from Turkistan cry wishing they were from Palestine or Syria because they feel that these Muslimes are far better off than the Muslims of Turkistan. How many of us have even made an attempt to march into Burma or The Central African Republic? The blood of a Shami does not outweigh the blood of a African Muslim oh Ummah! If you think that your Jihad has more value because the land of Sham is sacred according to our Ahadith, then know that the blood of any Muslim is far more sacred than the Kaba and its surroundings. Abd Allah ibn `Amr ibn al`As (رضي الله عنه ) Narrates:

رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يطوف بالكعبة ويقول ما أطيبك وما أطيب ريحك ما أعظمك وما أعظم حرمتك والذي نفس محمد بيده لحرمه المؤمن عند الله أعظم من حرمتك ماله ودمه

“I saw the Messenger of Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) performing tawaf around the Holy Ka`ba saying to it: ‘how pure and good you are! How pure and good your fragrance is! How great and exalted you are! And how great and exalted is your sanctity! But by Him in Whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, the sanctity of a believer’s blood and property in the sight of Allah is greater than your sanctity!’”

This statement was made upon the prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) gazing at the Kaba being within the vicinity of Al-Haram the most holiest of places for Muslims. Yes, even holier than Aqsa or the land of Sham. And notice that the Prophet used the word المؤمن not Al Khurasaani, or AShami nor did he mention the Muslims of any particular land. So if the blood being spilt belongs to a believer, then that is all that matters. The location and the ethnicity bear no significance. لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله

I conclude by asking my dear brothers, if you can please join the struggle in Khurasaan. If you can’t fight alongside them (with a valid Shari reason) then assist them financially or at least with your tongue or as others do in spreading their media here on the forum. They are in urgent need of finance. You will notice in AL Qur’an Jihad with wealth always proceeds Jihad with oneself and even if you do contribute financially do not think that you are exempt from fighting for Uthman (رضي الله عنه ) was the major financer of Jihad yet he was not exempt from fighting! The Islamic Emirate are in urgent need of learned men from the Ummah from scholars, doctors to engineers and teachers. Also, when you pray for the Ummah during this blessed month do not forget Khurasaan and our brothers in Waziristan who have faced horrific treatment from the hands of the Napak Fawj (May Allah destroy them). Remember that when much of the world was still asleep it was your brothers from Afghanistan who revived terms such as Jihad, Al Wala Wal Bara, Shahada, Sharia and Khilafah. These terms had become alien to much of the Ummah but the lions of Khorasaan revived them. Remember when much of the Ummah was still asleep this poor nation stood in the face of American tyranny who came to them with the whole worlds military might. Yet our brothers remained firm! Remember when much of the Ummah were asleep the brave men from Khorasaan plotted to take revenge for our Ummah and in particular Palestine, striking America in their own home and now slowly crumbling their economy as a consequence of which, America will soon never enter a fully-fledged war against the Ummah again as it has lost its financial and military might not to mention the low morale of their soldiers following the humiliation they have faced in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I mention Khurasaan because that’s the area I am connected to but by Alllah and he is my witness, I try my utmost to help brothers wherever they may be. And if you are in a position to help other Muslims in different locations but cannot assist your brothers in Khurasaan, then help whosoever you can with your soul or with your money. My comments are not intended to give the impression that Khurasaanis are superior to others…NO and I seek refuge in Allah from such talk. In Surah Hujurat:10 Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says:

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ

“verily the believers are a single brotherhood”

So my statement was a simple reminder that the people of that region have faced war after war fighting empire after empire and it is they who are still facing the entire world having very little resources at hand. It is a shame that many of us seem to forget this fact and the sacrifices of that nation and of our beloved Amir, Amir ul Mu’mineen Mullah Muhammad Umar (حفظه الله).

This was simply a reminder from my heart to all my beloved brothers and sisters. In Surah adh-Dhariyat:55 Allah says:

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

“And remind, for reminding benefits the believers”

May Allah forgive me for anything incorrect or depraved that I may have said for I am a weak sinner who is bound to make mistakes. If I have said anything correct I pray Allah allows you all to benefit from it.

جزاكم الله خيرا
