Pondering the Book of Allāh

When Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah was jailed towards the end of his life. He started using his time exclusively to ponder 🤔 on the book of Allah. Him and his brother Zayn al-Dīn ‘Abd al-Raḥmān (who was jailed with him) read the Quran together 80 times and they were well on their way to completing their 81st read of the Quran.

However, when they completed Sura al-Qamar, Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah passed away. May Allah have His mercy on him. Ponder the meanings of the last few verses Allah allowed Ibn Taymiyyah recite:

Surah al-Qamar starts with: «The hour has drawn near and the moon has split.» and it finishes with the following verses (54-55): «Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers. In the station of honor with a most Powerful King.»
